Tacofe (“Tacofe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides educational tools and plain-language information for U.S. citizens living abroad who want to better understand potential U.S. tax compliance issues, including IRS filing, foreign income, foreign accounts, FBAR/FATCA, and cross-border tax considerations.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Important: Tacofe provides educational information and software-assisted compliance visibility. We do not provide tax, legal, accounting, investment, or financial advice. Using Tacofe does not create a CPA-client, attorney-client, advisor-client, or other professional-client relationship.
1. Information we collect

1.1 Account and authentication information
If you create an account or sign in, we may collect:
- name

- authentication provider information, such as Google sign-in identifiers
- account creation and login timestamps
- basic profile information made available through your sign-in provider
We use third-party authentication and infrastructure providers, including services such as Supabase and Google, to support account creation and sign-in.
1.2 Assessment and intake information
If you use a Tacofe assessment, checklist, questionnaire, or similar tool, we may collect the answers you provide. This may include information about:
- country or countries where you live or have lived
- U.S. citizenship or tax-filing context
- foreign income categories
- foreign accounts
- potential FBAR/FATCA relevance
- filing history
- cross-border financial facts
- whether you may want to speak with a qualified cross-border tax professional
You should not submit sensitive details unless requested by the product and unless you are comfortable doing so. During early versions of Tacofe, you should avoid submitting full account numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or other highly sensitive information.
1.3 Communications
If you contact us, join a waitlist, request information, or ask for follow-up, we may collect:
- your name
- email address
- message contents
- preferences or stated needs
- records of our communications with you
1.4 Usage, device, and technical information
We may automatically collect:

AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not applicable to your situation. You should not rely on AI-generated or software-generated output as tax, legal, accounting, financial, or investment advice.
Where AI providers or model infrastructure are used, information you submit may be processed by those providers on our behalf. We aim to limit the information shared with AI systems to what is needed for the relevant feature, but you should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.

- logging and error monitoring
- AI or automation infrastructure

A professional you choose to engage is responsible for their own privacy practices, engagement terms, and professional obligations.

Tacofe is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Tacofe, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
